Mothers Polish sent me their new California Gold Ceramic line to test out, and I had the perfect dirty car to test it with. The California Gold Ceramic line includes Ceramic Wash & Wax, Ceramic Paint Correction, and Ceramic Spray Wax. For this wash, we used the Ceramic Wash & Wax and the Ceramic Spray Wax to evaluate their performance.
The products are pretty straightforward:
- Wash & Wax – $17.99: An everyday soap that is super sudsy and streak-free. Foamed up well and gave me lots of bubbles to clean with ease.
- Spray Wax – $17.99: A great spray wax that helps lock in your freshly cleaned car. Even after a lot of rain, the water is still beading off and the wax is keeping the cars looking fresh.
- Paint Correction – $17.99: This helps correct oxidation, water spots, swirls, and other small imperfections. We used this on our SUV that sits in the sun a lot, and it made the paint look a lot better after a single use.
Unfortunately for me, that very dirty car my daily driver. My 2014 Mercedes-Benz CLA45 AMG sits in the sun all day, getting hit by the sprinklers every morning. Even worse, she doesn’t move much when I have press cars, which is pretty frequently. Thus, she was the perfect vehicle to test the new lineup with.
Here are some before photos, please note the gum (?) by the front left tire, an assortment of bugs on the hood, and general dirt…everywhere.

After testing the Mothers Polish California Gold Ceramic Wash & Wax and Spray Wax
The after photos show that both the Wash & Wax and Spray Wax worked very well. I was able to get all of the goo off and leave my old, dull paint shiny again. It looks great, and even after a few rainstorms, it still looks pretty good.

Below are some photos of the Mothers Polish California Gold Ceramic Paint Correction and Spray Wax. This 2016 Lexus GX 460 sits in the sun all day, too. It has some imperfections in the paint that seemed like a good place to test out the Ceramic Paint Correction. As you can see in the photos below, it was pretty noticeable.

We used all three products for the after photos. The weather changed a little, so it was a bit gloomier out, but you can see a noticeable difference in the shininess of the paint.
Overall, the new California Gold Ceramic line worked better than the usual products sitting in our garage. The real test is seeing how long the cars look nice, and so far, they still look great after plenty of rain storms and some highway driving. I also feel a lot better about the paint on the SUV getting some shine back, and having some more protection going into the summer months. While you don’t need all three products for every wash, I think the lineup covers all of your bases.
Shout out to Mothers for sending us these products to test in exchange for a review; I dedicate my clean cars to you all summer long!
